Promoting Sustainable Development Goals

SDGs to GHETTO is the name of the program, to create incentive Awareness to Promote,
Localize and Popularize the Sustainable Development Goals in Uganda. It is a cost-effective
investment, simultaneously to achieve the 2030 agenda.

Ever since the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations
Member states in 2015, the SDGs have not been known, understood or Popular in Uganda.
To Promote, Localize and Popularize the Sustainable Development Goals in the communities
of Uganda, starting with Ghetto Communities.


Aim: To Promote Awareness, provide Knowledge and Information, to make everyone
understand the SDGs and to act towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.


Goal: To Create a sense of urgency and encourage community support towards the
achievement of the 2030 Agenda.


Objective: Leave no one behind was the transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda for
SDGs to eradicate poverty in all its forms, and reduce the inequalities and vulnerabilities
that leave people behind and undermine the potential of individuals and humanity as a
whole.


Target population and beneficiaries:
The Sustainable development goals are for everyone regardless of age,
gender, social status, background or other aspect of cultural identity. Uganda has the
biggest percentage of young people in the world; therefore, our main target are the
young people. But still, this does not limit us to close generation for a wider target.
